Contract Unit Converter
Convert a quoted price between tonnes, kilograms, pounds, US hundredweight, and ounces — for lining up a contract price against an index before building the escalation ratio.
A converter, nothing more. The product carries units through the whole formula and flags mismatches automatically.
Contract Unit Converter, explained
Why does the unit matter for a price escalation clause?
An index and a quoted contract price often use different units: an index might publish in $/short ton while a supply agreement quotes $/lb. Converting the units before building the ratio avoids a silent 2000x (or similarly large) error in the calculated adjustment.
